1) Replace engine oil and filter.
2) Top up all fluids as required under the bonnet.

3) Check Belts and pulleys.

4) Check for oil leaks under the bonnet.

5) Test Brake fluid for moisture content.

6) Test Coolant Glycol level.

7) Check Radiator cap.

8) Check Coolant hoses for wear.

9) Check for coolant leaks.

10) Check the air filter.

11) Check and lubricate door hinges.

12) Check Cabin filter.

13) Stamp logbook (as required).

14) Check spare tyre for correct inflation.

15) Check under the vehicle for leaks.

16) Check brakes front and rear.

17) Check suspension for leaks and wear.

18) Check Brake lines.

19) Check for rust and corrosion.

20) Check suspension bushes.

21) Check ball joints and tie rod ends.

22) Check the steering rack for leaks and movement.

23) Check tyres for wear and age.

24) Check wheel alignment (visual).

25) Check driveshaft and universal joints.

26) Check C.V Joints.

27) Check C.V boots for splits and age.

28) Check windscreen wipers and washers.

29) Check lights for correct operation.

30) Check tyre pressures.

31) Check the engine for correct operation.

32) Road test vehicle and check for noises, vibrations etc.

Warning lights can be checked and erased using our scanners.

Engine light - This is the most common light to stay on and can be a simple as the fuel used or something more serious, generally the vehicle can still be driven with

this light on but oil and coolant should be checked first

Oil light- This light will be display with low engine oil or low engine oil pressure and should be addressed immediately and vehicle not driven.

Overheating light- This light will indicate high engine temperatures and the vehicle needs to be stopped immediately and left to cool down then the coolant

level checked.

Brake light- This light will indicate a loss of brake fluid and the vehicle should be stopped immediately and the brake fluid checked.

ABS Light- This light will generally display when the computer reads an incorrect reading from a sensor or a module and should be checked as soon as possible.

Traction control light- This light will display when the computer detects a fault in the system and should be checked as soon as possible

There are many other lights than can display and the best place to find what the warning light could mean is the service book, some can be as simple as alerting the driver to a bulb not working right through to a major computer malfunction. Caution should be taken if any warning light is displayed.
