We can diagnose and repair brakes on all types of vehicles. The first sign of brakes wearing can be a warning light on the dash, a scraping or high pitch squealing noise or the brakes just not feeling quite right. These problems will likely be the brake pads worn and can be replaced to repair, if left to long the brake pads can wear through the pad material and start grinding on the metal backing plate, this will be evident by a loud grinding noise with brake application, at this point the brake rotors (discs) will generally require replacing also.
Most modern vehicles will have disc brakes front and rear but older vehicles will have brake shoes and drums on the rear, while more difficult to replace we have the experience to carry out brake shoe replacement. A Brake fluid low warning light or a brake light that remains on while driving is cause for concern as the brake fluid has dropped to a level where the sensor has turned the light on, this could as simple as worn brake pads or something much
more serious as a leak in the system. Brake shudder is an effect where the vehicle vibrates (sometimes heavily) with
brake application, this can have a shuddering or vibrating effect through the steering wheel, the seats or both and will generally be caused by warped brake rotors, we can machine or replace the rotors to fix this issue. Brake dust building up on wheels is a relatively normal effect and will happen mainly on the front wheels, constant and excessive dust build up can be worn brake pads or the brand of brake pad used.
Automotive Technicians in KULUIN
We can recommend and quote tyres for your specific application. We can also carry out puncture repairs. Tyre wear is of course normal but tyres correctly inflated and aligned will last much longer and give better handling. We can check tyres for wear across the entire tread, correct application for vehicle (load rating etc.) and age (most tyres will have the build date stamped on the case). Manufacturers generally recommend a life of 6 years for tyres regardless of tread depth.
